Aging Gracefully
Laura grew up in Kinston, NC, and her skincare journey began at an early age when she struggled with acne. That experience ignited a passion that has stayed with her ever since! After attending NC State University, she made her way to Charlotte, where she went to esthetics school and officially became a licensed esthetician in 2003. Laura has lived in some amazing cities like NYC, Chicago, and Raleigh before returning to her roots back east. She worked at a dermatology office in Goldsboro for a decade, which helped deepen her understanding of skin health.
Laura's dream was always to have her own skincare practice. Coming from a long line of women entrepreneurs, she was inspired by her Grandma Jewell, who started her florist business 75 years ago and still works six days a week at 99 years old! Laura decided to further her education and career by attending East Carolina University nursing school. She graduated from the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in 2023 and became a registered nurse in January 2024. Laura opened Meacham Beauty in Morehead City in March 2024 and a second location in Greenville in October 2024.
Laura loves helping my clients feel their best and enhancing their natural beauty. She wants them to know they can always count on her to be honest and keep up with the latest research in skincare and wellness. Laura recently traveled to Seoul, South Korea, which was an incredible experience! She learned so much about their fabulous skincare ingredients and vibrant skincare culture. She loves how the industry constantly evolves and there is always more to learn.
When Laura is not immersed in skincare, she cherishes time with her family—her husband Robert, her bonus daughter Riley, a junior at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, and their dog Charlie. She also loves to travel and play tennis whenever she has the chance!
